I think you should go to the Instituto de Estudios Filologicos.
Concerning archaeology, you have to go to the Instituto de Estudios
Antropologicos. A friend of mine, Roberto Martinez Gonzalez, teaches
Prehistoric anthropology in this department. Let me join him to know who you
may contact here.
I can't give you names but these 2 departments of UNAM are very close from
the main entrance, near the University metro station.
