Hello All,
For those of you who are interested in creatures and habitats of the Central
and South American jungles, I thought I would let you know that PBS's Nature
is broadcasting a series of films of which I have only listed two below. To
find out more and to see when they will be aired in your area go to:
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/
Nature
Deep Jungle: Monsters of the Forest
The ecosystem of the Amazon rain forest, focusing on the importance of the
Brazil nut tree and the bees that pollinate it; a search for a legendary
spider said to eat chickens. John Hannah narrates.
Nature
Deep Jungle: The Beast Within
What jungles reveal about humanity, through studies of primates and ruins of
ancient civilizations in Guatemala and Cambodia, and why those cultures
collapsed. Cameras capture monkeys using tools to open nuts, and chimps are
seen in a coordinated hunt.
