[Aztlan] ON THE SUBJECT OF ANCIENT PACIFIC COAST TRADE

I can not seem to put my hands on a reference for this, but wasn't there
evidence of contact between western Mexico and the Andean coast based on
brass? I can't recall now if it was just the technique of making brass
items or actual trade in brass items.

Unfortunately the hard drive on my computer where all the papers I have are
stored in digital format has decided to fail and I'm still waiting on my
husband to recover what he can from it.

Also, regarding the Kon Tiki voyage, while I hold with deep respect the
courage of the men who made this voyage, I must point out that the Kon Tiki
was towed 50 miles offshore so it could catch the current that took it
across the Pacific. That's an advantage the ancient Andean people wouldn't
have had.
