Does there exist any map showing Monte Verde I and Monte Verde II
together and if so, has this map been published?

Did archaeologists find indications for a connection between the two
sites?

Have archaeologists continued their excavations at Monte Verde I. I
have visited the site in 2002 and I was very amazed about the fact,
that nearly all of the excavated remains of the structures of Monte
Verde I have disappeared as the site was not protected against the
flood, which washed it all away in 2000.
Thus you can see that the settlement was not completely excavated
and the remains of the huge beams continue into the area of the site,
which was not excavated. It would be interesting to know the entire
plan of Monte Verde I.

In both cases an effective protection of these very early and very
interesting sites should be carried out.
