Robert asked "Is there anything in the ancient glyphs that gives a date for events paralleling the creation of humans from corn in the Popol Vuj?"

I assume that Robert is looking for a long count date for the creation
of humans from corn. If so, the short answer is no. I don't believe
there has been any Classic text found yet that refers directly to this
event, but I believe there are references to the creation of wooden people.
There is some calendar information for some of the other creation
events. The Popol Vuh states that the hero twins defeated Seven Macaw,
Zipacna and Cabracan during the era of the wooden people. It also states
that just before the hero twins rose up as sun and full moon, they
adorned their father Hun Hunahpu. The people made from water and corn
were waiting on the tops of their sacred the mountain for this first
rising of the hero twins so it is clear that the creation of the corn
people had to have occurred after the defeat of Seven Macaw and his boys
but, before the first rising of the hero twins.

Just before the corn people see the sun and full moon, they see the
morning star. As I have argued in my new book, the dressing of Hun
Hunahpu was his preparation to become the morning star. The Dresden
Codex Venus pages indicate that the first morning star appeared on the
date 1 Ajaw (Hun Hunahpu) which is why Hun Hunahpu is called Hun
Hunahpu. So we have the tzolk'in date for the first rising of the
morning star, sun and full moon. I have also argued in my new book that
this rising was on the April zenith passage which is one of the signs
used by the Maya to begin their corn planting. In other words, the
climax of this Popol Vuh episode is the establishment of the corn cycle.

The adornment of One Ixim (Hun Hunahpu's Classic Period parallel) is
pictured on a number of vessels as the washing of this deity by
underworld goddesses and his dressing in his jade costume. On several
adornment vessels, the caption text gives the date 7 Ajaw for this
event, but unfortunately, other vessels give conflicting tzolk'in dates.
