I did watch the video, most of it. (I skipped the glitz.)
 
The filming was alright, and the commentaries by the professionals were interesting.
Enjoyable, and a suitable introductory tour for audiences not generally familiar with the field.
In that respect M.S. did the subject a service.  I would naturally expect a higher standard from the History or Discovery or one of the other Science channels, but this was okay. I recommend giving it a look-see.
 
Now when will they be providing Mayan Hieroglyphic classes on television? I'm waiting.
