At the AAA meetings in SFO this past weekend
(American Anthropological Association),
I found out that there are still a very few spaces available on a tour
of parts of Belize and Guatemala, Dec. 19th through Jan. 2nd.

I'm sure it will meet the same high standards as tours which
Nick Hopkins and Kathryn Josserand conducted for years,
and which Nick has continued to lead, both earlier and now
with the assistance of Marco Antonio Tello.

For obvious reasons (time being what it is),
it is a good idea to sign on for this tour immediately.

(Just as added info, the Mopan variety of Yucatec has the most
loanwords from Ch'olan, and was probably the core of
Yucatec-Ch'olan cultural interchanges. We heard more about this
in one of the AAA sessions.)

Best wishes
Lloyd Anderson
