[Aztlan] Drawing of Stela 3 from Piedras Negras

I was curious how long it took David Stuart to make his drawing of Stela 3 from Piedras Negras? In perusing the PDF file titled "Maya Heiroglyphs" by Harri Kettunen and Christophe Helmke 2008, figure 14 is of this fore mentioned Stela and it has such great detail. It is hard to imagine drawing this from a faded monument into a detailed picture.
