Listeros,
At the 10th International Congress on Health and Disease organized by
INAH in Mexico City, dental specialist Socorro Ochoa Caceres stated
that ancient Mesoamerican dentists knew about and used dental filling
to avoid tooth loss. They knew how to insert files between teeth to
fasten orthodontic devices. Jadeite, obsidian, flint, wood and
vegetal fibers were used to modify and decorate teeth.
