A wonderful resource of contemporary indigenous poetry is the anthology
edited by Carlos Montemayor and Donald Frischmann - "Words of the True
Peoples / Palabras de los seres verdaderos" (Poetry, vol. 2) published by UT
Austin Press in 2005.  It is a trilingual volume (indigenous language /
spanish / english) and has brief bios of the poets.  Hope this helps!
