[Aztlan] Aztec poetry

Johntzin,

   I may be mistaken, so if I am, color my face red and straighten me out.
But I think the answer to "who's there?" has two problems:

  1. instead of ending in "...tl", shouldn't it end in "...lli"?
     I don't know of any form of a patientive noun formed from
     (tla)[i]xtlahui... that takes a "tl" ending; the common ending
     is "lli".

  2.  Amatlacuilolitquitcatlaxtlahuitl

      The marked "t" is a mistaken insertion;
     "...itquica..." is a so-called preterit nominalization of "itqui"
     'to carry'

All the best,

Joe
