Listeros,
New archaeological discoveries are being made in Guanacaste, Costa
Rica. The site of Rio Negro dates from 300-800 CE and was a Chibcha-
Coco inhabited site. There are settlements from the coast to the
highlands, circular housing with clay floors, clay ovens and kilns.
Funerary objects include jade, grinding stones, pottery. Pottery
traded from the central valley and jade and obsidian from the Maya in
Guatemala and Mexico have been found.
