Listeros,
A water filled cave in the Dominican Republic has been found that is
filled with stone tools and the bones of pre-historic animals. A fire
pit from the first occupation of the island and the stone tools are
dated at 4000-6500 years old and there are later Taino artifacts in
the cave as well. This is the first site in the area to contain stone
tools, sloths and primates in one place. The primate may be a howler
monkey.
