Listeros,

Nick Hopkins, our fellow listero who just posted today on the language
question in our latest and very interesting thread, is an expert in
Southeastern Native American Languages and you can read his report to
FAMSI on this topic here;
http://www.famsi.org/research/hopkins/index.html

At the conclusion of the report, there is a .pdf link to the whole
research study he published.

So I do have a question for Nick. Did these Southeastern languages
have an earlier antecedent that ancient peoples moving north to south
into Mexico would have carried with them so that would be the genesis
of loan words being the same or similar in the Southeast and in the
Gulf Coast areas of Mesoamerica?

And I have a question for fellow Aztlan moderator, Nahua langauge
expert, Fritz Schwaller; was the Nahua language group one that
traveled from earlier times in the north down into Mexico or was the
migration in the other direction?

Mike Ruggeri
