[Aztlan] Creating Maps In GIS

Dear Friends,

Thanks to those who helped me in explaining how to calculated map
scale in cases where the scale is absent from the map.  I am lucky to
be a map-maker in a digital age where the software program calculates
the scale for me, otherwise I would have to expend too much effort
getting the calculation right and that is time spend time away from
putting together the content of the map itself.

Along those lines, I wanted to share two regional maps that I have
created with ArcGIS and uploaded to Picasa.  One map is of regional
Palenque and the other is the location of Salama, Guatemala.  You can
see them at the link below and feel free to download them and use them
(for educational and non-profit purposes of course).  My name is
located in small print in the bottom part of the images:
