Ok.. Than i maybe found something about maya fashion

The remedi to sunglasses as seen in the negativ can be also realized  
in the original version when you look at it this way...

A frame where feathers are applied in a way that they shadow the  
eyes.. There are actually sunglasses on the market that use this kind  
of technology...

Ok..this dont need to be sunglasses.. Maybe it wasnt allowed to see a  
noble in the eys... Or the figure shows a blind person hidding the  
eyes..

But there is a detail that actually points in the direction of  
sunglass functionality..
The higher areas of the frame on the cheeks.. As known from ski  
glasses to reduce blinding reflections from the snow. There is no snow  
in the maya world?
But limestone plasterd plazas that give a pretty similar effect in  
direct sunshine to the eye.

Are there other figures or pictures that show similar features?
