[Aztlan] The site of La Venta

Dear List members,

After my initial post about the condition of the replicas at La Venta I
received this message from Rebecca González Lauck.

 

FYI, the replicas of the sculptures at the site of La Venta were in terrible
shape but no longer.  Most of them were subject to maintenance & restoration
at last November and December.   We will continue working on this venue as
soon as the funds for it are released, in order to have them all in good
shape and add new replicas so that the visitor acquires a good idea of the
sculpture-architecture groupings at this site.  The site needs positive
propoganda.  Your help will always be appreciated.
