More Sources on the Lancandon:

Christopher Shaw (author of "Sacred Monkey River: A Canoe Trip with
the Gods") reminded me of three other important anthropologists who
have studied and produced works on the Lancandon -- Frans and Trudy
Blom "La Selva Lacandona" and Robert Bruce "The Last Lords of
Palenque: The Lacandon Mayas of the Mexican Rain Forest"

Elaine: Right, or the Bloms or Robert Bruce, despite his getting their
origin wrong. Anyway, Joel's work is amazing and some of the most
interesting ever done on the Lacandon. CS
