As a followup to the July 12, 2007 and May 12, 2008 posts by Michael Ruggeri,
 
Here is a 1954 magazine article about archaeology at a Gallina Culture ruins site, starting on page 16 of this link:

I remember reading a book with a chapter, "Towers of Silence" many years ago about the archaeology work Frank Hibben had done in that location.  However, I don't remember the name of the book.
