There is a fairly small but nice museum at Tikal which immediately comes to
mind. Also a super-duper museum at Copan which houses a full-size (I'm
pretty sure) replica of Rosalilla. Oh, yes, there's a nice museum at
Palenque, too. (I love all those sites and want to go back soon!!!)

Does anyone out there know of any museums that are in areas local to  
excavation sites where objects are housed, conserved, registered, and  
eventually displayed? Looking specifically in Mexico, Guatemala, and  
the Yucatan.
