Listeros,

Yesterday, I posted the amazing find of Teotihuacan style murals
uncovered at El Rosario in Queretaro which date back to the beginning
of Teotihuacan. It was assumed in the articles that this must have
been a very early colony of Teotihuacan beyond the central basin.

I am wondering if there is another plausible explanation. If some of
the Teotihuacan builders came from the north, why can't we now open a
new avenue of investigation. Perhaps these very early Teo style murals
originated in the north with the group that painted the murals in
Queretaro and continued to the south where they painted the murals at
Teotihuacan.

I think this is easier to envision than a Teotihuacan colony existing
this far north right at the beginning of Teotihuacan history.

Any thoughts on this?

Mike Ruggeri
