Those murals certainly are impressive! In response to Mike's query, I believe we need much better information on their dating than is provided in the news report. They may date to a century or two later than AD 200, which would fit very comfortably with what we know about Teotihuacan's expansion. However, I would not be at all surprised to find a Teotihuacan colony in Queretaro (not all that far away from the Basin metropolis) by AD 200. I consider it unlikely that northern immigrants had anything to do with the early history of the city, although I have been known to be wrong before.
