[Aztlan] Tarzan in Mexico

Long before the 1960s, at least one of the Tarzan movies with Johnny
Weismuller was filmed in Morelos, at the Las Estacas bathing resort in
the Yautepec Valley. There is lush jungle vegetation in a small strip
along the river, in an otherwise semi-arid valley. If your look closely
at shots taken from a distance, you can see the denuded hilltops beyond
the jungle vegetation.
The state of Morelos has long been a major locale for Hollywood cinema
shoots. The "Colombian" drug lord's compound in the Harrison Ford movie,
Clear and Present Danger, is in Tepoztlan and some of the urban chase
scenes in the same move are set in Cuernavaca; the "Bolivian" train
station in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is actually in Cuautla;
the "Maya" village where villain Alec Baldwin chases Demi Moore's son in
the Juror is in Tepoztlan (the ancient temple in the movie is pretty
silly); etc. etc.
Back to Tarzan in Teotihuacan, it would be interesting to put together a
list of movies shot at Teo. I've seen some pretty bad B-movies with
scenes at Teo, both U.S. and Mexican films.
