My son just got back from the Yucatan and he said the resort he stayed at was almost empty. The beach was empty, the pool was empty, and the restaurant in the hotel was empty. He felt bad for the local economy but he enjoyed his trip. He went swimming in a cenote, snorkling in coral waters, horseback riding on the beach, and visited some Maya ruins. He spent time in Maya villages eating and drinking their native cuisine. It is a great time to travel to Mexico.
