Acording to my investigations I have found several Long Count dates on Olmec rupestre paintings and a prehistoric pretroglyph.
The first one I saw on 2007 I was not very sure, but now after finding several with the same style, I belive they are long count dates.
Some are very difficult to read but in all of them we can read 5 orders.
One style of presenting the Long Count that remains in most of the dates from Baktun 7, 8 and 9 is putting the date on the right
side of the principal character. I have found Baktun 6, 5 and 3 in the State of Guerrero with this Style.
There is another style used in baktun 4 that uses dots on the 4 extremities and the tale to represent the 5 orders of the count.
Or myabe this style is not Long Count, but I belive there is a system behind it that was used in a big part of Mesoamerica.
This dates are hard to belive, but i have been working on several lines of investigations, including milenary cultural continuity,
cosmovisión, traces in classic nahuatl and others that supports why they where presented like this.
Enclosed you will find the introductory data. At the moment I only have it in spanish. www.mexicoantiguo.org/CL2009.html
I am very interested in your feedback.
Have a good day.
