[Aztlan] Copán and the Ch'orti'

My comment:
The language written at Copán during the Classic 
Period was a precursor to Ch’orti’.  It is called 
Ch’olan by linguists and split into several 
languages – Ch’olti’, Ch’orti’, Chol and Chontal 
– after that period.  Yucatec (Yukatek) was never 
written at Copán during that time.  (Of course 
some others might disagree but I have seen no 
compelling evidence that this is not the case and 
have found much indicating that it is.)
