Dear members,
My name is Martin Schultz, i´m a freelancer working on the mesoamerican
colletions at the Museum of World Cultures at Frankfurt/ Germany.
Among these objects is a wooden mask that has been donated to the museum
with "Mexico" given as place of origin but no other information.
Eyes and mouth of the mask are of black and white stone, the mask is painted
red.
To me it looks quite old, but as i have never seen any precolumbian mask
like this one and have no "hands on" experience with these mask i thought i
would contact this list to ask for advise.
As i´m new to the list i don´t know if i am allowed to post images. Any
information on anybody who could help me would be most helpful.
Kind regards,
Martin Schultz
