Hi there!
Tiny question on data. We always see the almost magical and perfect end date of "AD 1450" in the American Southwest/Mexican Northwest. What does this mean?? That "it" all "stoped" 42 years before Columbus?? What are the archaeological "+/- years" data for Paquime for example? And are the dates calibrated? How would we describe the American Southwest (Mex. NW) in 1492? As Anasazi/Hohokam/Mogollon/etc? Or as "Puebloan"? And did the "Turquoise Route" also end in 1450????
(Same can be asked for other American cultures that "ended" just before the arrival of the Europeans, like Moundville in Alabama)
many thanks,
