[Aztlan] God L's owl

Karen and Jorge,
As I pointed out in my article on "...the Way of God L",
(www.mayavase.com/godl.pdf) there is only one image where we can actually
identify an owl, K4924, and in that case he is not even on the hat.
However, there is no question that the bird is a raptor, but always, with
the one exception, seen in profile. It is my contention that when an artist
presented an owl, the viewer sees both of its eyes. Eagles, hawks, falcons,
etc. are seen in profile, so the bird accompanying God L's hat may be any
raptor. Spanning across centuries it is possible that the meaning of "muan"
may have changed from a generic word for raptor to a specific term.

Hi Jorge,
Just a minor correction. The owl in God L's headdress isn't a muan bird
(hawk), it is a an owl.
Best K.
