I am not trained in acoustics so I may be in error but let me ask.
If a single hand clap produces a combination of two echos from the same
building doesn't that mean that every sound eminating from the same position
will produce a combination of two echos from this same building? If this is
true, then it would not be extrodinary for two echos to come from a clap.
We must keep in mind that:
* the "Maya Plumbed Serpent deity" does not make any sounds.
* the "Maya Plumbed Serpent deity" is a 'snake'
* It is said that sound of a clap mimics the sound of a snake
If from this anyone concludes that this was a M.A.D. then I would like to
examine the logic. (M.A.D.= Maya Acoustic Design)
Exam question:
If it was discovered that, according to Maya tradition, it was sacrilegious
to clap on the main plaza (penalty is loss of heart), would the argument
supporting MAD be:
A. Less convincing
B. More convincing
C. Unchanged
