Michael, listeros:
Diaguita culture, in north Chile and Argentina, have developed Bronze metallurgy, but they applied it neither to weapon or tools, just ornamental and ceremonial uses.
Diaguitas (a group of peoples with common language -cacán- and cultural features at both sides of the Andes) was conquered by the Incas a few years before the arrival of spanish Conquistadores.
In the 17th century the spanish stimulated the use of the Quechuan as general language, and then in 1770 directly the spanish language, forcing the disappearance of the cacán. Anyway some groups (Calchaquies and Quilmes for example) defended his lands, culture and rights per centuries after the initial conquest. After an important revolt, the "Quilmes" were exiled to the Buenos Aires area (thousands of miles south) where they gave origin and name to a neighborhood of the city, and for curiosities of the destiny) nowadays to the principal mark of beer.
