[Aztlan] Tsunamis

Hola - 

While tidal waves can be caused by hurricane (Hurican - one of the three "gods" of natural forces mentioned in the Popul Vuh), there are two causes of major tsunamis - earthquake and impact. 

If you remember a few weeks back to the note on the geology of the Yucatan, the was mention of beach deposits about 1,000 BCE on the north coast. That may be the same tsunami seen at the Baucom site in SE North America:

The automatic date converters tell me this is an impossible date, but if so then why did they write it? Were the Chillam Balamob using a different day count then? Any help from you calendar experts with this one would be appreciated.
