Well,
It seems 1491 was not a mass sacrifice with all the blood and entrals going all over the place..In one spot in four days.. 40,000 gallons in four days?? and that is being way to nice..How can you even compare the two??. That does not make academic sense. IT is a discussion of apples and oranges. The two don't compare. People did die in mass due to pandemic. In 1491 he talks about the pandemic occurring over a much longer time period than one or two years. It was over generations with successive (unintentional) introduction of diseases. But burning them solved most of the body problem there. They did not all die at one time in one spot. What about the rest.. You seem to concentrate on just one aspect of the discussion. Anything is possible if you put the man power to it. A priest can rip out a heart very fast.. But can he keep it up for days?? How many Priest did it take? Don't think they had that many they trusted to make the "Gods Happy"..Anything IS Possible, but is it real? Or is it fabricated? What does the physical evidence show? Is Diaz's figures as exaggerated as some scholars say he is? I tend to agree. It seems taking that amount of people out of a culture in four days would have sever consequences.. Just as the pandemic shot the indigenous people back to the Archaic times...What a huge effect that was... Now My people are still stuck in Tribes...Just like the Archaic peoples.
I did not see the program. At present I am unable to view it... All I have to go on are the discussion pages. Why can people admit when it is their people doing the genocide why do they get upset and we cant?? Humm Why do I have to believe the worst and others don't? Maybe that could be a discussion. Accepting a cultures sins? Opps sorry for stepping on TOES!

I just have to inject some of what happened last night. I was trying hard to think an answer through. I went to sleep trying to figure out what they would have done with 80,400 bodies. I had a dream. I was in this huge Aztec Pyramid and the bodies were falling down and being stored in this huge warehouse under the pyramid. I went up a step set of stairs and there was this cool restaurant. They had big cookers and nice stainless steal tables and counters. Then I looked at the menu. They were serving the body parts for food. Humm
I just had to inject that small tidbit of humor?? I read somewhere there was a theory they did eat them...Ekks what a thought...And I dreamt it......

I cant believe it! I just was able to look at the program. It just aired here. I am appalled at the way it was done!! I cant believe they pained all cultures in an bad light concerning "violent practices". I never heard that word said so many times on a Discovery show and it was not good..Egyptians, Maya, Aztec, Hindu and the rest of the religions mentioned were 'bashed in my view..It did not mater what culture you were it seems they wanted to paint a picture all cultures were ruled by "Gods who DEMANDED violence!!" The narrator used the word violent in almost every paragraph until they hit on the Muslems... That was a total surprise!! Suddenly the word 'violent disappeared from her vocabulary...They were extremely reverent concerning the 'killing of the sheep'. on the Muslems...It was so Obvious it made me sick..Then she went back to all the violence with witches. This was not an intellectual well prepared show. It was biased and that was so obvious all of the religions and cultures mentioned should be screaming! I am not trying to say anything against any race or religion!!! All I am saying is the show was so biased it was not right or a good intellectual treatment of the subject!!
Did anyone catch the statement that the MAYA Gods DEMANDED sacrifice after a Ball Game?? I did not know it was a Demand...I thought it was to honor the people with being reborn.. Opps..
Thank you for your time,
Al Climber
