With regards to the manipulation of Aztec history, I looked for a thorough online summary of Susan Gillespie's "Aztec Kings" that could be shared with the list (to no avail - you'll have to check out the book yourself).  However, I did stumble upon fellow Listero Mike Smith's newsletter publication "Comments on the Historicity of Topiltzin Quetzalcoatl, Tollan, and the Toltecs"
