Excavations on Agricultural Terraces: Results of the 2004 Field Season at Chan, Belize
Acknowledgements
The 2004 field season at Chan was made possible by financial support from the Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies, Inc., (FAMSI). Sandra Noble was especially helpful in guiding me through the application process.
Excavation was carried out under a permit from the Belize Institute of Archaeology acquired by Dr. Cynthia Robin of Northwestern University. I would especially like to thank Don Ishmael Chan of San José Succotz, Belize for allowing us to excavate on his land.
Excavations were carried out by Don Bernabe Camal, José López, Ishmael Chan, and Placido Cunil; all of San José Succotz. Without their years of experience I would not have been able to achieve all the goals of this project.
I would like to thank my advisor Dr. Joel Palka of the University of Illinois at Chicago for all of his help, suggestions, guidance, assistance, and threats. And finally I would like to thank Dr. Cynthia Robin for all of her help she has given me that is just too lengthy to list here.
