Abstract

With the support of FAMSI, the ceramics from 26 test units excavated at Laguna de los Cerros were analyzed, along with the ground stone from 47 units. The ceramic classification included their description and the coding of forms, decoration and size. The ground stone study covers classification and measurement of artifacts. Through these studies, the Terminal Classic diagnostics were characterized, and the absence of a Postclassic occupation of the site was confirmed. The characteristics of the ground stone may suggest that small objects were produced or finished at the site.
