A continuación de las páginas que faltan al final del diálogo entre el Emperador y el Infante, el manuscrito se reanuda con una exhortación a la confesión en la forma de una serie de sermones cortos introducidos con citas en latín.65 La obligación de confesarse durante la Semana Santa, aunque ello no se haga en ningún otro momento, y la culminación de esta sección con las señales de los quince días antes del Juicio Final y el retorno de Cristo, sugiere un vínculo de estas enseñanzas con los días más sagrados que preceden a la Pascua en el año litúrgico. El tema de la muerte, representado por el refrán en yucateco ca bin cimcech, cuando tú mueras, contrasta con el tema de la vida eterna y la felicidad en el cielo. Aunque de tono sombrío, los sermones intentan persuadir al pecador para que se confiese, advierten contra una confesión coercitiva, y son mucho menos acusatorios que otros materiales comparables en Náhuatl.66
