See CMM: Nuucan ti xicin: entender vno lo que le dizen, o lo que ha oydo.… ¶ ma nuucan tin xicin: no lo entiendo o no lo he entendido. Concerning the expression dzot kanil, it is conjectural that this means "earring", and is based on the word dzot = to stick in and kanil = cuzca.
